Cheptiony has spent over 15 years doing one thing: helping brands communicate better through video. What started in 2009 producing music videos for vernacular musicians in Southern Rift Valley grew into a full career spanning broadcast journalism, global freelancing, NGO documentary work, SaaS tutorial production, and eventually building one of the first AI-hybrid video studios in Africa.

He holds a Diploma in Broadcast Journalism from the Kenya Institute of Mass Communication and spent years on platforms like Upwork delivering video production to clients across the US, UK, and Australia — long before "remote-first" was a trend.

"In 2013 I registered Techtube Video Studio, and over the next decade refined a simple but hard-won belief: most businesses don't have a video quality problem. They have a video consistency problem. Producing one great video changes nothing. Showing up every week does."

That insight is what shaped Techtube's current model — combining AI-driven content strategy with senior human production, so clients get a full month of video content planned, scripted, and produced without the overhead of an in-house team.
